Job Description
Role Outline
As a trainee therapist with The Self Space Low-Cost Therapy programme, you will:
- Provide high-quality in-person therapy: Deliver short- and long-term therapeutic support for clients, with sensitivity, professionalism, and care.
- Offer structured sessions: Work with clients through time-limited models (e. g. an 8-session framework), while also being flexible to individual client needs.
- Maintain professional records: Be digitally competent in managing client notes, scheduling, and diary management with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Engage in external supervision: Attend regular external supervision through your training programme, ensuring safe practice and ongoing professional development.
- Practice within ethical frameworks: Uphold the standards of BACP, UKCP, HCPC, or equivalent bodies, demonstrating integrity and accountability in all work.
- Collaborate for client wellbeing Liaise with supervisors and, where appropriate, other professionals to safeguard and promote client welfare.
- Attend monthly reflective meetings with the placement co-ordinator to have a space to come together with fellow trainees.
