SATS Counselor

Key Responsibilities

The SATS Counselor will manage a caseload, facilitate various groups and staff meetings, and adhere to the approved treatment curriculum while meeting ADOC SATS contract obligations. Essential functions include conducting SBIRT and ASAM assessments, developing treatment plans, and facilitating groups focused on dependency and criminal thinking.

Requirements

A minimum requirement is an Alaska State Counselor Technician Certification, with preference given to those holding a Chemical Dependency Clinical Counselor II certificate. Candidates must pass ADOC background checks and PREA screening, and possess knowledge of substance abuse disorders and treatment, along with skills in various counseling modalities and documentation.
