Behavioral Health Technician

Key Responsibilities

This role involves providing therapeutic support to children or adolescents in community settings like home or school to prevent the need for more restrictive treatment. The technician must implement specific clinical interventions from behavioral treatment plans and reinforce positive behaviors while supporting the family's stabilization efforts.

Licensure & Certifications

Candidates need a Bachelor's degree in a human services field such as Psychology, Social Work, or Education, though an Associate's Degree or 60 credits toward a Bachelor's may suffice with one year of verified full-time paid experience in behavioral health services. Licensed Registered Nurses or those with degrees in other fields are also considered if they possess the required one year of relevant paid experience.
