Why Modesto
Modesto sits at the crossroads of California's best — halfway between San Francisco and Yosemite, with easy access to Sacramento, the Sierra Nevada, and the Bay Area, yet offering a cost of living and pace of life that larger cities can't compete with.
The city boasts a warm hometown feel, affordable housing, strong public and private school options, and neighborhoods lined with parks and green space.
Downtown Modesto punches well above its weight with a thriving restaurant scene, craft breweries, live music venues, and a nationally recognized arts community — all anchored by the region's celebrated agricultural heritage.
Whether you're chasing mountain trails on the weekend, exploring farm-to-table dining, or settling into a tight-knit community, Modesto delivers an exceptional quality of life that's increasingly hard to find.
Doctors Medical Center (DMC), part of the Central Valley Doctors Health System, is the largest full-care hospital between Stockton and Fresno, and from the Sierras to the San Francisco Bay Area, with a 394-bed general acute care and a 67-bed inpatient psychiatric capacity.
DMC is known for providing comprehensive inpatient, outpatient and emergency care.
Doctors Medical Center offers a wide range of services including cardiology, neurosurgery, orthopedics, emergency and trauma services, minimally-invasive and robotic surgery, women and childrens services, medical/surgical, behavioral health, oncology and critical/intensive care. Join our team!
