Duties

Evaluate residents upon physician order for occupational therapy. Provide skilled occupational therapy intervention as described in the treatment plan. Attend care conferences as needed to assist in developing and revising the guest/resident care plans.

Participate in Medicare, admissions, and monthly Rehabilitation Department meetings. Work and coordinate with all team members to meet guest/residents’ needs. Serve as an integral part of the interdisciplinary treatment team, facilitating a unified approach to guest/resident treatment.

Ensure occupational therapy programs are regularly updated in a manner which will most effectively benefit guests/residents. Train staff members in specific techniques related to each guest/residents’ individual needs. Develop restorative programs and train restorative aides to carry out these programs.

Serve as a consultant of Immanuel Living Communities on relevant issues. Work different shifts, including weekends, to provide optimal guest/resident care.

Education and Experience Graduation from high school or GED preferred Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program Professional Licenses or Certifications Required by Law Registration by the National Board for Certification in Occupational therapy, Inc. Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the State of Montana Current CPR certification Essential Physical and Mental

Requirements

The incumbent must be at least 18 years of age, as position operates potentially hazardous equipment. The incumbent must be able to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and work under time and/or deadline pressures. The incumbent must be able to occasionally kneel, lift / push/pull 40 pounds and frequent stand, walk and sit in this position.
