Speech-Language Pathologist
Facility: Kindred Hospital Flamingo LTACH
Job Type: Full Time

How you’ll contribute
- Play an important part in helping our patient to recover and feel better about themselves by providing therapy to maximize speech, language, cognitive and swallowing abilities
- Communicate patient progress or problems to supervisor and other team members; assist with patient scheduling and post charges daily to patient records
- Document patient care in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer and accrediting requirements
- Instruct patient's family or nursing staff in follow-through programs
- Maintain equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition
- Handle job responsibilities in accordance with the Company's Code of Business Conduct, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, appropriate professional standard and applicable state/federal laws
- Other duties as assigned
What we’re looking for
- Education: Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology
- Licenses: Licensed Speech Therapist; Current licensure in state working
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 60 days of hire

Key Responsibilities
The Speech-Language Pathologist will provide therapy to improve patients' speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities. They are also responsible for documenting patient care, communicating progress to the care team, and instructing families on follow-through programs.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and possess a current state license. Additionally, a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 60 days of hire.
