Job Description
The Inova Keller Center is looking for a dedicated Behavioral Health Therapist I
to join the team! Our comprehensive mental health and substance use disorder
treatment programs and an innovative special education school support families
throughout Northern Virginia. This therapist will work primarily with our
Partial Hospitalization Program and also lend support to our Intensive
Outpatient Program. This role will be full-time day shift from Monday – Friday,
core hours 7:30 am – 4:00 pm, with some flexibility to cover IOP later in the
day if needed. The Keller Center is in Fairfax, VA.

Behavioral Health Therapist I Job Responsibilities
* Performs duties under the clinical supervision of an approved clinical
supervisor registered with the DBHDS or receives clinical supervision from an
approved clinical supervisor registered with the DBHDS.

Minimum Qualifications
* Education: Master's Degree, Ph. D., PsyD, EdD in Mental Health, Social Work,
Counseling, Substance Use Disorders or Behavioral Health related field.
* Experience: Two years of experience in mental health/substance use disorder
treatment, psychoeducational programming including targeted, evidence-based
interventions (crisis intervention, trauma, and integrative therapies).
* Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association within 3
months of hire. Crisis Prevention Institute within 6 months of hire.
* Licensure: Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and
Family Therapist, LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed
Clinical Psychologist (LCP), or Licensed Substance Abuse Professional
(LSATP).
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with adolescent patients strongly preferred

Key Responsibilities
The therapist provides therapeutic interventions, psycho-educational programming, and behavioral support to patients and families within the Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient programs. They also perform care coordination to ensure patients are referred to appropriate community resources to optimize treatment outcomes.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a Master's degree or higher in a mental health-related field and possess at least two years of experience in mental health or substance use disorder treatment. A valid clinical license such as LPC, LMFT, LCSW, LCP, or LSATP is required, along with the ability to obtain BLS and Crisis Prevention Institute certifications.
