Staff Pharmacist-OPD/SPD

Per-Diem pharmacist to cover vacation and time off for Outpatient and specialty
Pharmacy Pharmacist.

External Description

This position is accountable for those pharmacy services which require a
pharmaceutical education and state licensure; leadership experience and
extensive professional judgment are also required. Receives, compounds, fills
and verifies prescriptions, dispenses pharmaceuticals, offers preventative
healthcare services such as immunizations, consults with clients regarding the
nature and use of drugs, and trains and/or supervises personnel. Prepares and
maintains all necessary records required by federal, state and local
regulations. These duties are performed independently, according to regulatory
guidelines, departmental policies and procedures, as scheduled
by the supervisory staff.

Qualifications

Education

To qualify a Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy Degree
is required.

Licensing/Certifications

New York State Pharmacist License and Current Registration. Certified Immunizer
Required.

Experience

At least three (3) years of experience as a licensed community retail/outpatient
pharmacist required; Previous institutional experience helpful, but not
required; On-the-job training after employment is necessary; Ability to
multi-task and set priorities; Computer skills; Experience with Micro
Merchant PrimeRx pharmacy software (Preferred); 340B pharmacy experience
(Preferred);

patients, outside vendors, and other health care affiliates.

* Can proficiently read, write, speak, and understand English.
