Occupational Therapist – Home Health Visits (Contingent)

AmeriStaff Nursing Services is seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to provide in-home therapy services to patients throughout the Metro Detroit area. This position offers the opportunity to deliver meaningful one-on-one care while helping patients improve their ability to perform daily activities and maintain independence in the comfort of their homes.

This is a contingent home visit position that offers flexibility, autonomy, and competitive visit-based compensation.

Compensation

• $75 per completed evaluation (1-hour)

• $75 per completed therapy visit (1-hour)

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled occupational therapy services during in-home patient visits throughout the Metro Detroit area

• Evaluate patient functional abilities and develop individualized treatment plans

• Assist patients in improving daily living skills, mobility, and independence

• Educate patients and caregivers on therapy techniques and safety practices

• Document patient progress and treatment plans accurately

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams

• Maintain compliance with all clinical standards, documentation requirements, and HIPAA regulations

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program

• Current, valid, and unrestricted Occupational Therapist license in the State of Michigan

• Minimum one (1) year of Occupational Therapy experience

• Valid driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Strong time management and organizational skills
