The Respiratory Therapist assumes responsibility for providing high-quality, safe, and effective care by executing protocols and administering various respiratory therapies. Duties include performing a full range of respiratory functions, setting up and managing patient equipment like ventilators, and educating patients and families on conditions and treatments.
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma and have graduated from an accredited respiratory therapy program, holding the CRTT credential from the NBRC. Licensure as an RCP in Missouri is required, along with obtaining BCLS within 30 days, and ACLS/PALS within six months of hire.
