Job Description

Imagen is seeking certified Physician Assistants (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioners (NP) to join our onsite interventional radiology team in California’s Inland Empire on a part-time basis (2 days per week). Multiple positions are available.

This is a procedural practice combining fluoroscopy-guided interventions with a broader IR case mix, working alongside our onsite radiologists and Imagen’s physician-led radiology group in an integrated practice focused on patient care, clinical collaboration, and a high-quality patient experience.

The Inland Empire offers Southern California living without the coastal price tag, with easy access to Los Angeles, Orange County, and the desert. The role is a great fit for a PA or NP who wants to build a varied procedural practice at the top of their license on a predictable, part-time schedule.

Why Imagen?

Predictable Lifestyle: No call. No nights. No weekends. A predictable part-time daytime schedule — 2 days per week within standard clinic hours.

Practice at the Top of Your License: Participate in an interventional radiology and radiology procedural practice, with opportunities to perform FL-guided musculoskeletal interventions and a full range of fluoroscopic contrast studies.

Broad Procedural Case Mix: The practice extends beyond routine fluoroscopy, with FL-guided hip injections, plus a full range of GI and other contrast-guided fluoroscopic studies — with room to expand into additional IR work over time.

Multiple Openings, Flexible Schedules: Because we’re hiring for several positions, we can work with you on which two days per week fit your life.

Deep Clinical Collaboration: Work as part of a coordinated onsite and remote care team, collaborating closely with radiologists, technologists, and Imagen’s physician-led clinical organization.

Backed by Imagen’s Technology & Infrastructure: Focus on patient care while we handle the rest. You’re supported by Imagen’s operational, IT, and administrative teams, with dedicated procedure support staff (technologists) onsite.

Live Where You Want: Riverside, Redlands, Rancho Cucamonga, Temecula, or out toward the desert — all within an easy commute. Coastal LA and Orange County are also reachable for those who want the city on their off days.

Your Day-To-Day

You’ll perform IR- and FL-guided procedures across a well-balanced case mix. The

practice spans several procedural areas:

  • MSK Procedures: MSK procedures including fluoroscopic hip injections
  • Fluoroscopic contrast studies — Barium swallow, esophagram, upper GI (single and double contrast), small bowel follow-through, barium enema (single and water-soluble), and other contrast-guided studies.
  • Pharyngeal & diaphragmatic fluoroscopy — Pharyngeal studies and sniff tests.

What You Bring

  • Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) in good standing (NCCPA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) with current national board certification (FNP, AGPCNP, or

AGACNP)

  • Active California PA or APRN license, or eligibility to obtain (and California Fluoroscopy Permit from CDPH-RHB, or willingness to obtain)
  • Experience with image-guided procedures and GI contrast studies preferred; new graduates with strong procedural training/ interest are welcome to apply
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Desire to work in a patient-facing, team-oriented environment

What We Offer

  • 5 weeks of paid time off per year
  • Competitive part-time compensation, commensurate with experience
  • Malpractice coverage including tail
  • Licensing and credentialing support
  • Robust administrative, IT, and operational infrastructure so you can focus on patient care
  • True work-life balance: part-time, daytime schedule — no call, no nights, no weekends

Why the Inland Empire?

Southern California without the coastal cost of living — and with a lot going

for it in its own right:

  • More affordable housing and better commutes than LA or Orange County, with strong schools and family-friendly communities
  • Wine country in Temecula, historic downtowns in Riverside and Redlands, and the amenities of Rancho Cucamonga and Ontario
  • Year-round outdoor recreation — hiking in the San Bernardino and San Jacinto Mountains, skiing at Big Bear, and the desert resorts of Palm Springs all within an easy drive
  • Beaches, LA, and Orange County reachable for a day trip on your days off

Key Responsibilities

Perform a variety of interventional radiology and fluoroscopy-guided procedures, including musculoskeletal injections and GI contrast studies. Collaborate closely with radiologists, technologists, and the broader clinical team to ensure high-quality patient care.

Requirements

Must be a certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) with an active California license. Experience with image-guided procedures and GI contrast studies is preferred, though new graduates with relevant training are encouraged to apply.
