Key Responsibilities

Assess, diagnose, and manage paediatric dysphagia and associated speech, language, and communication needs.

Develop and implement individualised therapy and feeding plans in line with clinical guidelines.

Work closely with families, carers, and education/health professionals to ensure safe swallowing strategies are followed.

Provide specialist advice, training, and support to parents, carers, and staff in managing dysphagia.

Requirements

A recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent).

HCPC registration and membership (or eligibility) with the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).

Significant experience working with paediatric dysphagia.

Strong knowledge of swallowing assessment and management in children.
