Key Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and manage paediatric dysphagia and associated speech, language, and communication needs.
- Develop and implement individualised therapy and feeding plans in line with clinical guidelines.
- Work closely with families, carers, and education/health professionals to ensure safe swallowing strategies are followed.
- Provide specialist advice, training, and support to parents, carers, and staff in managing dysphagia.
Requirements
- A recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent).
- HCPC registration and membership (or eligibility) with the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).
- Significant experience working with paediatric dysphagia.
- Strong knowledge of swallowing assessment and management in children.
