Department/Unit Summary

Job activities are fairly complex and highly diversified but are structured within a predefined work routine. Involves the exercise of judgement in the analysis of facts or conditions regarding patient care or hospital problems to determine what action should be taken within the specifications of standard practice.

Qualifications and Requirements

Applicants should have a current state RN license. Additional requirements

Include

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing required.
• 2-3 years of nursing experience required. Also, will accept RNs in CCU and ER experience.
• Must have an active AL or Compact RN License.

What You Will Do

Maintains an effective, planned systematic, concurrent review and evaluation process of the medical necessity, quality, appropriateness, timeliness, and utilization of hospital care/services provided in accordance with established indicators/criteria, hospital policy and JCAHO requirements.

Participates in the development and implementation of the Quality/Case Management Program. Assists with Performance Improvement teams and projects.
