Rural hospital located several hundred miles northwest of Anchorage, AK seeking a full-time, Locum Optometrist. Details are below.
Pay: $120.00/hour
Housing and flights provided for the Optometrist
Locum Optometrist Opportunity
- Examine patient's eyes to detect vision problems, diseases, and other abnormal conditions
- Prescribe eyeglasses and contact lenses, and may prescribe drugs to treat eye disorders
- Engage in patient education regarding the care and treatment of eye conditions
Optometrist must provide clinical eye care services in accordance to the hospital’s mission, philosophy, policies, and procedures while applying standards of the eye care profession.
Locum Optometrist Qualifications
- Doctor of Optometry
- Must have 2 years of experience
- Looking for a team-player

- Rural, remote town northwest of Anchorage.

Key Responsibilities
The Optometrist will examine patients to detect vision problems and diseases while prescribing corrective lenses and medications. They are also responsible for providing patient education and adhering to hospital policies and professional standards.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a Doctor of Optometry degree and possess at least 2 years of professional experience. A team-player attitude is required for this rural hospital setting.
