About the Role

Join Parkland Health as a Mental Health Counselor- HOMES in United States. PRIMARY PURPOSE Provides community-based individual, family and group counseling services to Parkland's clients experiencing mental health disorders. MINIMUM SPECIFICATIONS Education - Must have a Master's degree in Social Work or Counseling.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborates with service providers and professional colleagues to better understand and address the needs of clients psychological and social needs.

• Identifies and analyzes the design of counseling, interventions, medical and psychological referrals, patient access, processes, etc.

Requirements

• Must have a Master's degree in Social Work or Counseling. Experience

• Must have two (2) years counseling experience.

• Prefer counseling experience in perinatal mood disorders, women's health issues and specific knowledge and counseling experience with youth and adult mental health disorders.

• Emergency/Trauma: Prefer Counseling experience with adolescent and adult populations with specific knowledge of assessment and intervention for trauma

Work Schedule

• Full-time position.

• No explicit call, weekend, or night shift information provided.
