Riggs Community Health Center is pleased to announce that it is now taking applications for our 6thcohort of the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) Accredited Nurse Practitioner Residency Program.

Riggs Community Health Center is currently seeking Adult-Gerontology Nurse, Family, Pediatric, or Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioners to join our Nurse Practitioner Residency Program. Interested candidates must be newly graduated (up to 18 months out of NP school).
Riggs Community Health Center's Rural Health Nurse Practitioner Residency Program and community partners affiliated with the Nurse Practitioner Residency Program are dedicated to the mission of improving access to quality, cost effective, comprehensive health care with respect and compassion to under-served community members. This residency program is designed for new nurse practitioners with a commitment to developing careers in the challenging setting of rural clinics or under-served healthcare clinics.

This 1 year paid residency position comes with first consideration of permanent employment at Riggs Community Health Center, or at one of the residency's community partner facilities, at the end of the residency year.

We offer residents a competitive benefits package eligible day 1, including a competitive residency salary of $92,610.00, plus sign-on bonus, affordable Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance, Health Savings Account (HSA) Employer Contributions up to $700/year, 401(k) with match after three months, Life Insurance, Long & Short-Term Disability Insurance, PTO, and Paid Holidays.
This position is M-F; including one day off per week and one Saturday morning per month.

Candidate Requirements
- Citizen of the United States, a non-citizen national, or a foreign national who possesses a visa permitting permanent residence in the United States (individuals on temporary or student visas are not eligible).
- Applicants must be recent graduates (18 months or less from program start August 2024) MSN or DNP from an accredited primary care nurse practitioner program.
- Family Nurse Practitioner, Adult/Gerontology Nurse Practitioner, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner board certification by the start of the program.
- Indiana state RN and APN credentialing, if applicable.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to providing primary care to medically under-served populations.
- Strong commitment to practice as a primary care provider in a FQHC or other rural setting.
- Bilingual preferred, but not required.
- Must have completed a 2-credit pharmacology course within the last 5 years.
- Must be willing to shadow at Riggs CHC and our community partner clinics prior to acceptance into the residency program.
- Must be willing to travel to and from clinic sites in Lafayette, Frankfort, Lebanon, Delphi, Burlington, Wolcott, Monon, Attica, and Crawfordsville within Indiana
Monday - Friday (40 hour/week); evening or weekend activities may be required on rare occasions.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in a one-year accredited residency program providing comprehensive healthcare to under-served community members. Practice as a primary care provider within rural clinics or Federally Qualified Health Centers.
Requirements
Must be a recent MSN or DNP graduate (within 18 months) with board certification in a relevant Nurse Practitioner specialty. Requires US citizenship or permanent residency and a commitment to serving under-served populations.
