Job Requirements
- Licenses: Active Pennsylvania License
- Board: Board Certified in Cardio-thoracic Surgery
- DEA: Active DEA Required
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS
- Experience: Fellowship Training Required
- Other Qualifications: Local candidates preferred
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide Cardio-thoracic surgery coverage in a hospital-based setting
- Perform adult cardiac and general thoracic surgical procedures
- Manage cardio-thoracic surgery consultations and patient care
- Round on assigned patients with APP and Surgical PA support
- Participate in call coverage on an as-needed 1:3 rotation
- Evaluate and treat patients requiring CABG, aortic surgery, pericardial window procedures, tube thoracostomy, and thoracic aneurysm management
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive cardiothoracic surgery coverage, including performing surgical procedures and managing patient care in an inpatient hospital setting. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in a 1:3 call rotation to ensure continuity of care.
Requirements
Requires an active Pennsylvania medical license, board certification in cardiothoracic surgery, and fellowship training. Candidates must hold active DEA registration and current BLS and ACLS certifications.
