Overview
Bassett Healthcare Network, in central New York, is seeking a full-time Neurologist to build a sub-specialized practice in one of the following areas- Neuromuscular, Seizure, Epilepsy, Movement Disorders or Headache.
- Salary Range: $320,000 - $400,000
- Sign-on Bonus: up to $150,00
- Additional Residency/Fellowship Stipend: $45,000
- Location: Cooperstown, NY
- Job Description & Responsibilities
- Join an established group of neurologists in an academic setting
- Opportunity to develop a neurology subspecialty program
- Anticipated mix of specialty and general neurology, with at least 50% of the time in specialty
- Mostly in-person outpatient clinic with opportunity for some remote tele-neurology
Opportunity for academic appointment at Columbia University and teaching Bassett IM Residents & Columbia-Bassett Medical Students
- Inpatient & Outpatient Tele-Neurology support from University of Rochester
- Very limited call; 2-4 days per month
- Full spectrum case mix and diverse patient population
- Practice within Bassett Healthcare Network, an integrated system delivering care across an 8-county region
- MD, DO or MBBS
- BC/BE
- Completion of an accredited USA Neurology Residency
- New York State Licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
- BLS Certification Required
- Require Stroke experience; reading EEG, and/or performing EMG desirable
- DEA Required
Compensation
Salary Range: $320,000 - $400,000.
This compensation range represents Bassett Healthcare’s good faith belief of the compensation range at the time of this posting or advertisement. Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards
Bassett offers Physicians an incentive plan with no earnings cap. Individual performance and productivity can significantly enhance compensation with potential upside realized within the first year of employment.

Requirements
Candidates must hold an MD, DO, or MBBS degree and be BC/BE in Neurology with completion of an accredited USA residency. A New York State medical license, BLS certification, and DEA registration are required.
