The Opportunity

  • Seeking Board Eligible/Certified Emergency Medicine physicians.
  • Candidates wanting to work in an academic setting with current residents desired.
  • Current NY state license is a plus.

The Practice

  • St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center – Syracuse, New York
  • STEMI Receiving Center and Primary Stroke Center with TNK capabilities.
  • 280-bed facility with a 54-bed Emergency Department including 12 fast track.
  • Annual volume of 56,000 with approximately 160 patients per day.
  • Wonderful staff and culture.

Large cardiovascular patient population with a 24/7 cath lab as well as heart failure and chest pain accreditation.

  • Full sub-specialty backup excluding ophthalmology and neurosurgery.
  • 24/7 neurologist coverage, in person and teleneurology.

Estimated annual base compensation of $275,000 – $900,000, depending on site, specialty, clinical volume, schedule, and experience. Compensation for part-time and per diem roles is prorated based on clinical hours worked. In addition, Vituity physicians participate in our partnership model from day one, which includes profit distributions, equity ownership, and K-1 tax advantages. Total compensation including partnership income varies by site and may significantly exceed the range shown.

Key Responsibilities

Provide high-quality emergency medical care to patients in a 54-bed emergency department. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to manage complex cases, including cardiovascular and stroke emergencies.

Requirements

Candidates must be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Emergency Medicine. A New York state medical license is preferred, and visa candidates are encouraged to apply.
