You shouldn't have to choose between a dependable paycheck and a job that moves your career forward.

Many SLPA jobs advertise attractive per-visit rates, but cancellations, open schedules, and growing caseloads can make your actual paycheck unpredictable.

At Dallas Reading & Language Services, you get something different: guaranteed full-time pay, a clear path to $20/hour during your first year, productivity bonuses, team bonuses, and hands-on mentorship from experienced SLPs.

Start with stability. Build your skills. Grow your income.

Start With Stability

Building a caseload takes time. Your paycheck shouldn't disappear while that happens.

You'll Receive

40 paid hours per week

Consistent hourly pay while your caseload is developing

No lost hourly pay when clients cancel

Health, dental, and vision benefits

Paid time off

401(k)

You can focus on becoming a great SLPA without worrying about every opening in your schedule.

Compensation That Grows With You

Your hourly paycheck is your foundation, not your ceiling.

As your productivity increases, you can earn $20 for every productivity unit above 40, on top of your regular hourly paycheck.

Example: 45 units = your regular paycheck + a $100 productivity bonus.

Qualifying preparation and support work can also count toward productivity, so seeing clients isn't the only way to earn bonus units.

You'll also have opportunities to receive additional team bonuses based on the performance of the practice.

And while you're earning bonuses, your hourly rate follows a clear first-year growth path.

New SLPAs entering the profession start at $16/hour and progress to $20/hour by the end of the first year as they successfully progress in the position:

Start: $16/hour

3 months: $17/hour

6 months: $18/hour

9 months: $19/hour

12 months: $20/hour

No wondering when your next opportunity for a raise will come.

Guaranteed pay. Clear raises. Individual bonuses. Shared success.

Build Experience That Moves You Forward

Whether you want to build a career as an SLPA or eventually become an SLP, we want your experience here to move you forward.

You'll Receive

Structured onboarding and training

Ongoing supervision and mentorship from experienced SLPs

Hands-on pediatric clinical experience

Experience with treatment plans, data collection, and progress monitoring

Exposure to evaluations and clinical decision-making

Training in documentation and clinical workflows

Opportunities to develop greater clinical independence

Planning on Graduate School?

The last two SLPAs from our practice who applied to graduate programs within the past year were both accepted and are now continuing their path toward becoming Speech-Language Pathologists.

Their clinical experience at Dallas Reading & Language Services, along with recommendations based on their work here, helped strengthen their graduate-school applications.

We can't promise graduate-school admission. What we can offer is meaningful clinical experience, strong mentorship, and the opportunity to build the skills and professional relationships that can support your next step.

What You'll Do

Provide pediatric speech, language, and reading therapy under SLP supervision

Implement individualized treatment plans

Collect data and monitor progress

Prepare therapy materials and activities

Collaborate with supervising SLPs and other team members

Communicate professionally with children and families

Complete documentation and support clinic workflows

What We're Looking For
