About the Role
Herald Square Psychology PLLC is seeking a Licensed Doctorate Psychologist to join our team in New York, NY on a fee-for-service basis conducting intakes. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated psychologist to work flexibly while making a meaningful impact on clients from the very start of their mental health journey. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychological intake evaluations for new clients
- Perform clinical interviews to assess presenting concerns, mental health history, and treatment needs
- Formulate diagnostic impressions using DSM-5 criteria
- Complete timely and thorough intake documentation and clinical notes
- Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure seamless client transitions into ongoing care
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and ethical standards set by APA guidelines
Requirements
- Doctoral degree (PhD, PsyD, or EdD) in Psychology required
- Active New York State license as a Psychologist in good standing
- Experience conducting clinical intakes, psychological assessments, or diagnostic evaluations
- Strong knowledge of DSM-5 diagnostic criteria and evidence-based practices
- Excellent clinical interviewing and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a fee-for-service model
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and clinical documentation
