Key Responsibilities

  • Danville Health District is seeking a qualified candidate for a Certified Nurse Practitioner Senior role. For exceptionally, highly qualified candidates, a one
  • on bonus of up to $5,000 and/or up to 40 hours of annual leave may be awarded. The Certified Nurse Practitioner Senior performs patient care as a nurse practitioner with limited or no on
  • Care Personnel (HCP) to provide documentation of immunization or evidence of immunity to the following: hepatitis B, measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella; a one
  • time dose of tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis (Tdap) vaccine regardless of the interval since the last dose of tetanus

Requirements

  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse and Certified Nurse Practitioner in Virginia required.
  • Ability to develop patient management plans; excellent clinical judgement with ability to know the limits of practice and when to seek consultation
  • CPR/BLS certification Additional Considerations
  • Prior public health or community health with significant clinical experience in prenatal, STI, family planning, pediatrics and family practice preferred
