The Physician provides comprehensive family medicine services, including diagnosis, treatment, minor procedures, and coordination of care for patients of all ages, focusing on frontier and low-resourced settings. Responsibilities also include maintaining accurate documentation, serving as a collaborator or primary physician for advanced practice providers, and actively participating in quality initiatives and meetings.
Licensure & Certifications
Candidates must possess a State of Alaska Medical License (MD or DO), be Board-certified in Family Medicine, and maintain active DEA registration and SEARHC medical staff privileges. A minimum of two years of experience as a practicing provider is required, along with certifications such as ACLS, PALS, CALS or ATLS, ALSO or BLSO, and NRP.
