How You’ll Contribute

A Respiratory Therapist (CRT or RRT) provides comprehensive respiratory care to patients with acute and chronic cardiopulmonary conditions across all age groups.

This role performs diagnostic testing, administers and evaluates ordered therapies, and collaborates with physicians to develop and implement individualized plans of care.

The Respiratory Therapist responds to emergent situations, including codes, educates patients and families, maintains respiratory equipment and supplies, and ensures accurate documentation in the electronic medical record while adhering to evidence‑based practices and regulatory standards.

What we’re looking for

Applicants should have

• Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy required

• Current Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist (CRT or RRT) licensure is required

• (BCLS) Basic Life Support certification is required

• ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire

• Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) preferred

• Ability to successfully complete the skills competency checklist within 90 days of hire

Maria Parham Health Franklin Facility, which houses a highly comprehensive 11-bed Emergency Department located in Louisburg. This stand-alone ED is fully staffed and equipped to accommodate any emergency situation with speed and efficiency.

Our Franklin facility also includes a unique Behavioral Health unit to serve the mental health needs of our area's population. Our Behavioral Health Unit is divided between 20 adult psychiatric units for those between the age of 18 and 55, and a 13-bed geriatric unit for our population over the age of 55.

Maria Parham Franklin also offers an array of outpatient testing and diagnostics. With 205 licensed beds, Maria Parham Health is equipped for every health care need one can encounter.
