About the Role

Join UChicago Medicine as a Behavioral Health Tech, Inpatient Psychiatry - Full-TIme, Nights in United States. Be a part of a world-class academic healthcare system at UChicago Medicine Ingalls Memorial Hospital as a Behavioral Health Technician in the Inpatient Psychiatry department. This position is a 100% onsite opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

  • will facilitate educational sessions, structured groups and psycho-educational groups in accordance with the patient's plan of care.
  • will utilize interactive processes, which will exceed the expectation of patients, physicians, families or significant others, and provide high-quality, cost-effective care and treatment.
  • Must have good knowledge of the principles and practice of psychiatric and addiction treatment * Completes annual department competency checklist Required Qualifications * Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) * CPI certification required upon hire or within 60 days of hire * High School diploma * 2 years prior experience working with patients with addiction issues Preferred Qualifications * Behavioral Health or related experience providing care to patients within at least the last five years * Bachelor’s Degree in Addiction/ Psychology Position Details * Job Type/FTE: Full-Time, 0.
