Job description
This position shall be a full-time or part-time position with job elements
focusing primarily on patient evaluation and treatment. The individual must
demonstrate the ability to interact with team members for an interdisciplinary
team approach. Patient care is provided across the life span; therefore,
clinicians will interpret data and assess patient’s needs relative to age
specificity standards.
Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelor’s Degree in occupational therapy
* Licensed or eligible for licensure by the Commonwealth of Virginia as
Occupational Therapist
* BLS CPR Certification
Preferred Qualifications
* Master's Degree in occupational therapy
* Previous experience in occupational therapy preferred

* Assists in the instruction and training of Occupational Therapy personnel,
students, and volunteers.
* Demonstrates the knowledge and skills needed to provide care appropriate to
the age of the patient served.
* Maintains confidentiality of patients.
* Respects dignity of patients.
* Provides patient, family, and staff education regarding disability and its
effects on lifestyle. The information is provided at their
age/developmental level/special needs of the patient and family members.
* Provides teaching supervision and counseling of patients and caregivers to
ensure safe and complete care at home. The information is provided at their
age/developmental level and special needs of the patient and family
members.
