Job Description
Looking for a hearing healthcare opportunity where quality patient care comes first?
This established diagnostic and rehabilitation clinic in Elmwood Park, NJ has been serving the community since 2012, offering comprehensive hearing healthcare with a focus on personalized treatment and clinical excellence. Rather than a traditional retail hearing aid model, the practice emphasizes meaningful patient relationships, individualized solutions, and improving quality of life through better hearing.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Audiologist or Hearing Instrument Specialist who values patient relationships, clinical quality, and a collaborative approach to hearing healthcare.
- Why This Opportunity Stands Out
- Predictable weekday schedule: Monday–Thursday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM; Friday, 9:00 AM–2:00 PM
- Patient-first philosophy: Focus on personalized care rather than sales-driven quotas
- Collaborative team: Work directly with the Audiologist and office support staff
- Competitive compensation: Compensation based on market value and experience
Responsibilities
- Perform hearing evaluations and diagnostic testing, including audiometry and acoustic immittance.
- Fit, program, and dispense hearing aids
- Provide tinnitus treatment, custom hearing protection, and patient counseling.
- Evaluate pediatric patients ages 4+ and adult patients.
- Support cognitive screening and brain health education using the Cognivue Thrive device.
- Participate in community outreach events and healthcare fairs as needed.
Additional diagnostic services include ABR, OAE, and VNG testing. ABR testing is performed less frequently, and prior VNG experience is a plus but is not required.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive base salary plus commission
- Reimbursement of 60% of the employee’s individual medical insurance premium
- Paid time off
- Paid holidays
