Selah House Indiana is the only licensed inpatient, residential, and partial hospitalization program (PHP) eating disorder treatment center in the state of Indiana.

Position Summary The Psychiatrist is primarily responsible for conducting psychiatric evaluations, medication consultation and collaboration with community prescribers. Position ensures clients are medically stable and clinically appropriate upon admission to treatment services.

Provides pharmacological treatment, if indicated, and requests and reviews any needed lab work. Position collaborates with team members to oversee and promote the health and safety of clients throughout the treatment process.

Relationships and Contacts Within the organization: Initiates and maintains frequent and close professional working relationships with the facility Executive Director, nursing staff, the facility medical director, and direct care team members.

Outside the organization: Initiates and maintains strong professional relationships with clients and families, clinical providers, referral partners and vendors, as needed. Position

Provides compassionate and professional psychiatric care and guidance to clients, ensuring optimal levels of client health and safety.

Cultivates and maintains a client-centered approach to care, recognizing and adapting to cultural diversity in the provision of care, incorporating client’s cultural and spiritual preferences, values, and beliefs into the provision of care.

Cultivates and maintains a client-centered approach to confidentiality, privacy, comfort, emotional support, mutual trust, and respect. Collaborates with Medical Director/Medical Providers in the provision of medical care to clients.

Completes all required client assessments/evaluations within appropriate timelines as required by payor and regulatory bodies. Completes medical record and other documentation in a timely and accurate manner to meet regulatory and payer requirements.

Provides medication management services for clients in care, as needed. Provides case consultation in person and by telephone in unusual or urgent situations, as needed. Qualifications

Requirements Experience and Education Must be a Board Eligible or Board-Certified Psychiatrist licensed to practice within the state of Indiana.
