Sandra Eskenazi Mental Health Center, Indiana's first community mental health center, provides comprehensive care for emotional and behavioral problems, including severe mental illness and substance abuse. The Sandra Eskenazi Mental Health Center offers both inpatient and outpatient services, including several outreach centers as well as clinic- and community-based services.
FLSA Status: Non-ExemptJob Role Summary
The Clinician performs a variety of individual, family and group therapeutic interventions utilizing evidence-based practices. This position manages a caseload of clients identifying therapeutic, rehabilitative and case management needs, engaging other team members in meeting these needs as indicated. Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Embraces, understands, and operates under the Recovery Model, including AIDET (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Explanation, Thank You) and the spirit of motivational interviewing (MI), and follows the levels of accountabilityCompletes biopsychosocial evaluation (BPSE), integrating information gathered by the team and developing the integrated diagnostic summary; based upon the BPSE and in consultation with the treatment team, prepares Clinical Treatment plans, dates the treatment plan at intervals determined by guidelines, and consults with client, family, and treatment team throughout the processManages a caseload of clients identifying therapeutic, rehabilitative and case management needs; engages other team members in meeting these needs as indicatedPerforms a variety of individual, family and group therapeutic interventions (as demonstrated competency allows) utilizing evidence-based practicesProvides quality case management services as indicated by client need Monitors client progress and reflects this in the clinical documentationEvaluates and updates the treatment plan at intervals determined by guidelines, consulting with client family and team in this processCompletes documentation of activities and written reports in an accurate and timely mannerIdentifies community resources and assists clients in their access to these resourcesProvides indirect service to external agencies and community through consultation and educationInterprets and applies service and billing procedures according to client needs; completes billing according to guidelines for timeliness and accuracy Alters activities and behaviors to reflect and ensure adequate care which is appropriate to the age of the clients servedAdvocates for clients to ensure access to needed services which include developing community relationships and resourcesMeets agency standards of timely completion of all documentationMeets agency standards of client service hoursDemonstrates commitment to professional growth by actively participating in clinical supervisionJob Requirements

Sandra Eskenazi Mental Health Center's primary mission is to serve individuals with serious mental illness and chronic addiction as well as seriously emotionally disturbed children and their families. Patients of all ages are welcomed, from children to seniors, with a philosophy of care that stresses strength-based and family- and community-centered treatment utilizing the Recovery Model of treatment.
Key Responsibilities
The clinician performs individual, family, and group therapeutic interventions while managing a caseload of clients with diverse rehabilitative and case management needs. They are responsible for completing biopsychosocial evaluations, developing integrated treatment plans, and documenting client progress in accordance with agency standards.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a Master's degree in a Human Services field and possess or be actively working toward professional licensure such as LSW, LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT. A valid Indiana driver's license is required to meet the organization's travel and policy requirements.
