Job Description
Inova Mount Vernon Hospital is looking for a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our Outpatient Rehab team. This role will be Full-Time, Day Shift, Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm with some weekend and holiday coverage

Occupational Therapist (OT) Job Responsibilities
- Adheres to department policies regarding the timeframe, form, and content of written evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
- Communicates effectively with patients, family, medical staff, care team members, students, supervisors, and outside contacts while completing all administrative tasks and other responsibilities in support of the operating unit.
- Demonstrates essential skill competencies in the use of treatment modalities, equipment, and protocols while performing re-evaluations, according to department guidelines, and adjusting the treatment plan as needed.
- Selects evaluation and treatment methods appropriate to patients' diagnosis, age group, and physical/emotional status while formulating appropriate treatment plans.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Licensure: Occupational Therapist VA License
- Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association

- Occupation Therapist (OT) experience in neuro

Key Responsibilities
The Occupational Therapist will perform patient evaluations, develop treatment plans, and document progress according to department policies. They will also communicate effectively with the care team and patients while utilizing appropriate treatment modalities and equipment.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy and a valid Virginia Occupational Therapist license. A BLS certification from the American Heart Association is also required.
