200.00 - 240.00 USD Per Hour

Working Location

San Jose: North San Jose Center (In-person position)

Working Hours/Shift

Part-Time, 20 hours per week, 2.5 working days, 2 days in office

What You Bring to SBHG (Qualifications)

Education

  • Doctor of Medicine
  • Board Certified / Board Eligible Child-Adolescent Psychiatrist

Experience

  • Required: Clinical experience should be with children or adolescents in residential or community-based settings.
  • Preferred: Experience with County mental health, child welfare, and/or juvenile probation systems and services.

License and Certification

  • Current state medical license in good standing with the medical board.
  • Current DEA License
  • Current malpractice insurance
  • Valid California Driver's License and automobile insurance

  • Population Served: Adolescents served ranging from ages 12 years -18 years
  • Facility & Setting: Administrative Office | Monday through Friday 8 am - 5 pm PST

Key Responsibilities

This position provides specialized psychiatry services to adolescents aged 12 to 18 years within a community-based setting. The psychiatrist will work as an independent contractor to support the mental health mission of Starlight Community Services.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a Doctor of Medicine degree and be board certified or board eligible in child and adolescent psychiatry. A current state medical license, DEA license, and malpractice insurance are required for this role.
