Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive neonatal intensive care to critically ill newborns in a 24/7 onsite setting.
- Manage and monitor neonates requiring advanced life support, including ventilators, IVs, and medications.
- Collaborate with neonatologists, nurses, and respiratory therapists to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Perform neonatal procedures such as intubation, umbilical line placement, lumbar puncture, and chest tube insertion.
- Ensure accurate documentation, follow hospital protocols, and communicate effectively with families.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive neonatal intensive care to critically ill newborns in an inpatient setting. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to manage treatment plans and perform specialized neonatal procedures.
Requirements
Must be a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner with a valid Massachusetts license. PALS certification is required, and neonatal fellowship training is preferred.
