Mobile Area | Remedy Behavioral Health

At Remedy Behavioral Health, we’re looking for a compassionate, experienced Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) who wants to provide meaningful, person-centered mental health care to individuals in long-term care and assisted living facilities.

What You’ll Do

As a Licensed Therapist with Remedy, you’ll provide evidence-based behavioral health services in a facility-based setting while supporting the unique needs of each client.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy using clinically sound, evidence-based approaches.
  • Deliver therapy services within nursing homes and assisted living facilities.

Support clients experiencing a wide range of mental health concerns, including depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, and adjustment issues.

Maintain timely, accurate, and confidential documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) in accordance with HIPAA and company policy.

Collaborate closely with psychiatric providers, nursing staff, and facility leadership to ensure continuity of care.

  • Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings and case consultations.
  • Provide crisis intervention and follow-up as needed to support client safety and stability.
  • Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as clinically indicated.

Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education to maintain licensure and enhance clinical practice.

Requirements

What You Bring

  • Active, unrestricted Alabama license as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW).
  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field required.
  • Experience in facility-based, geriatric, or behavioral healthcare preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide person-centered therapy and maintain professional boundaries.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Physical & Environmental Demands

  • Ability to travel to assigned facilities as needed.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and move throughout the workday, including light lifting (<25 lbs).
  • Maintain professional appearance and demeanor in all settings.
