Locum Physician full scope (MED PEDS or Family Medicine + Pediatrics)

24-Hour Shift Coverage Overview

Bed Capacity

• ICU Beds: 4

• Acute Care Beds: 13 (including utilization of swing beds, averaging 4 within the acute care)
• Swing Beds: 4 (on average)

Patient Acuity

• Varied acuity levels including cases of pneumonia, sepsis, general weakness, diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), and respiratory failure.

Patient Volume Statistics

• Maximum Census: 20 (which includes 3 rooms in the Family Birthing Unit)

• Minimum Census: 2-4
• Average Daily Census: 8
• Average Weekly Admissions: 12-20

• Average Daily Discharges: 1-4
• Average Length of Stay (LOS) in Medical-Surgical: 4 days

Metrics for Year 2025 (Up to October 2025)

• Total Bed Utilization:
• Medical/Surgical: 5

• OB (integrated within Med/Surg & ICU): 1

Electronic Medical Records System

• EMR utilized is Cerner.

Onsite Subspecialty Support

• General Surgery, Anesthesia, Orthopedics, Podiatry, and Obstetrics/Gynecology with 24/7 coverage.

Experience & Qualifications

• Open to new graduates (must be board-certified or board-eligible).

• Skills required include the ability to perform intubations, placement of central lines, management of codes, and rapid response activations.
• Availability of a call room onsite.

• Case logs must be submitted, covering the last 24 months.
