Key Responsibilities
The Speech Language Pathologist will conduct home visits to assess, diagnose, and provide therapeutic interventions for clients with speech, language, communication, or swallowing difficulties. Responsibilities also include developing and revising treatment plans, participating in multidisciplinary care planning, and educating patients and families on necessary rehabilitative activities.
Requirements
Candidates must possess a current Speech Language Pathologist license in Virginia and meet ASHA certification requirements, which includes holding the certificate, being eligible and awaiting the exam, or being in the process of accumulating supervised work experience. Prior home care experience is a plus but not mandatory, and solid computer skills are required, with EMR experience preferred.
