Key Responsibilities

The therapist provides clinically and culturally competent individual and group therapy to children, youth, and families from African, Black, and Caribbean communities, focusing on emotional and behavioral needs. Responsibilities also include working within an interdisciplinary team to determine intervention strategies, providing consultation, advocacy, and case management.

Requirements

Candidates must have a post-secondary diploma or degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, or equivalent, along with membership in a relevant professional regulatory body. A minimum of two years of relevant experience is required, and applicants must identify as a member of the Black community with experience delivering culturally competent interventions.
