The physician provides primary medical care to PACE participants, including conducting assessments and developing care plans in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team. They also manage participant care in nursing homes, coordinate with medical specialists, and ensure accurate documentation and diagnostic coding.
Candidates must hold an MD or DO degree with a current, active plenary physician license and board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Practice. Additionally, the role requires at least one year of experience working with the frail or elderly population and a willingness to learn American Sign Language.
