Our rehabilitation programs provide ongoing care and specialized treatment to
patients throughout their recovery journey. We offer customized, individualized
rehabilitation tailored to the specific needs of those recovering from a stroke,
brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation,
and orthopedic injury.

How you’ll contribute 

Under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OTR/L), the COTA
role plays a vital role in acquiring relevant patient information and
implementing individualized, evidence-based treatment plans using a variety of
techniques and therapeutic activities. The COTA role involves working with a
diverse diagnostic population, maintaining accurate and timely documentation in
accordance with hospital policies and State Practice Act standards. The COTA
will also closely monitor patient progress, contribute to the achievement of
short- and long-term goals, and provide feedback and treatment recommendations
to the supervising OTR/L as appropriate.

Licensure/Certification
* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association
* Previous experience in patient care preferred

Key Responsibilities

The COTA implements individualized, evidence-based treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. They are responsible for monitoring patient progress, maintaining accurate documentation, and providing feedback to the supervising therapist.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a valid Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) state licensure or certification. A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is also required.
