Key Responsibilities
The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for evaluating, treating, and caring for residents with breathing disorders. They operate specialized respiratory equipment and perform diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gas analysis and pulmonary function studies.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a current, unencumbered California Respiratory License and be credentialed by the NBRC. A current Basic Life Support certification is required, and 2-4 years of experience in a respiratory unit or skilled nursing environment is preferred.
