Job Description

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Patient evaluation and treatment, medication management, case conferencing and in-service training to the staff. Provide input into the incident review committee and training committee as well as outside conferences. Provide emergency first aid/CPR assistance when needed.

Related duties assigned. Report to the VP of Nursing.

HOURS: 22.5 hours per week

Blue Sky Residence- Wednesday 9am-5:30pm

Bowery Safe Haven - Thursday-Friday 9am-5:30pm

QUALIFICATIONS: NYS Certified psychiatric nurse practitioner. Have prior experience working with a MICA population. CPR training certification or willingness to take training class in CPR.

Key Responsibilities

The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner is responsible for patient evaluation, treatment, and medication management at designated residential facilities. They also provide staff training, participate in incident review committees, and offer emergency first aid as needed.

Requirements

Candidates must be a NYS Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with prior experience working with a MICA population. A CPR training certification or a willingness to obtain one is also required.
