OBGYN Ultrasound Technologist II - Harrisonburg P/T

Performs ultrasound studies in a clinical environment, including abdominal, vaginal and OBGYN exams. The sonographer must have a clear understanding of image formation and display. The sonographer must have a clear understanding of fetal growth and development, as well as the basics of pelvic anatomy.

Demonstrates skills and ability to locate normal anatomical and fetal abnormalities. The sonographer must be able to provide correct fetal measurements and patient history. The sonographer is responsible for reviewing the schedule and appropriately documenting for correct charge entries. The sonographer is responsible for exam set-up, physician assistance, patient care, and operation of all department equipment.

Education

Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, related field, or completion of a training program acceptable to their registry board

Licensure

• Candidate must be CPR Certified
• ARDMS or ARRT(S) certification
