Devereux Florida provides programs and services for individuals with significant intellectual/developmental disabilities and/or emotional or behavioral challenges. This position is responsible for:

  • Completing psychiatric evaluations
  • Working in collaboration with physician to provide diagnostic and intervention patient care
  • Monitoring and reevaluations as needed
  • Medication management with monthly notes
  • Participation in physician peer review and relevant meetings

Position Details

  • Schedule: Monday-Thursday (32 hours/week) + On-Call Rotation (Friday-Sunday)
  • Location: Viera Campus - In-Person position
  • Pay: Starts at $255,960/yr.

Qualifications

Education and Licensure

Doctorate Degree Required

Active Medicaid provider number and authorized to provide psychiatric services by Chapter 464, F.S. required

Other Requirements

  • Two years' Psychiatric experience required
  • Two years' experience working with children and adolescents required
  • Two years' experience working with children and adolescents preferred

The Psychiatrist is responsible for conducting psychiatric evaluations and providing diagnostic and intervention patient care in collaboration with other physicians. They will also manage medications, maintain monthly notes, and participate in peer review and relevant clinical meetings.
