Why This Respiratory Therapist Role Is Different
This role supports patients across Northeast Wisconsin while also assisting the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, offering a variety of patient interactions and a manageable travel schedule. - Key Highlights
- Work Arrangement: On-site.
- Schedule: Part time (2 - 3 days per week), 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM.
- Travel: Approximately 1.5 days per week.
- Coverage Area: Green Bay, WI and support for the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
- Reimbursements: Mileage reimbursed at $0.70 per mile.
Salary Range
$32 - $36 per hour. Compensation offered may vary based on job-related factors such as experience, skills, education and location.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct home visits to perform oxygen, CPAP/BiPAP, and ventilation equipment setups and follow‑ups.
- Educate patients and caregivers on equipment use, cleaning, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Assess patient needs, document care delivered, and escalate concerns appropriately.
- Respond to hospital discharge requests and support patient needs,
- Collaborating with physicians, case managers, and internal branch teams.
- Maintain accurate documentation using iPad/laptop.
- Set up and operate various types of respiratory care equipment, including, but not limited to, oxygen therapy, nebulization therapy, apnea monitoring, suctioning, PAP, invasive and non-invasive ventilation.
- Inspects and tests equipment to ensure proper operating condition.
- Perform clinical assessments and tests such as pulse oximetry, ETCO2, spirometry and gathering vital signs.
- Performs other duties as required.
What We Look For
- Registered Respiratory Therapist with an active WI RT license.
- Open to various experience levels; preference for experienced candidates.
- Ability to stand, lift, push and/or pull objects ranging from 10 – 50 lbs.
- Valid driver's license.
- Comfortable using mobile technology, navigation tools, and digital documentation.
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
- Certificates, licenses, registrations or professional designations
- Hold a current RCP license in the state of practice (or states that the location covers) if that state requires an RCP license to allow the practice of respiratory therapy.
- Hold a current CPR Certification.
- Hold all applicable licensure in good standing for all states of practice.
