Additional Job Description
West Virginia University School of Medicine and the WVU Heart & Vascular Institute seek an Academic Intensivist (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Morgantown, WV.
Duties: The successful candidate will practice critical care medicine. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
Qualifications: Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for a state medical license. Successful candidates will come from an intensivist background. Successful candidates must be board certified / eligible in critical care. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.

The Academic Intensivist will practice critical care medicine within the CVICU and provide high-quality patient care. Additionally, the role involves active participation in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
Requirements
Candidates must hold an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be board certified or eligible in critical care. Applicants must also be eligible for a state medical license in West Virginia.
