Job Description
Inova Fair Oaks Hospital is looking for a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our Acute Care team. This role will be Full-Time, Day Shift, Monday-Friday with 1 weekend day per month and 1 holiday per year.

Occupational Therapist (OT) Job Responsibilities
- Adheres to department policies regarding the timeframe, form, and content of written evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
- Communicates effectively with patients, family, medical staff, care team members, students, supervisors, and outside contacts while completing all administrative tasks and other responsibilities in support of the operating unit.
- Demonstrates essential skill competencies in the use of treatment modalities, equipment, and protocols while performing re-evaluations, according to department guidelines, and adjusting the treatment plan as needed.
- Selects evaluation and treatment methods appropriate to patients' diagnosis, age group, and physical/emotional status while formulating appropriate treatment plans.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Licensure: Occupational Therapist VA License
- Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association
Preferred Qualification
- Occupational Therapist (OT) experience in the acute care setting

Key Responsibilities
The Occupational Therapist will perform patient evaluations, develop treatment plans, and document progress according to department policies. They will also communicate effectively with the care team and patients to ensure high-quality clinical outcomes.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy and possess a valid Virginia Occupational Therapist license. Additionally, a BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required.
