Job Description
- Physical Therapist – Sports & Performance Orthopedics
- The Lab Sports Therapy & Performance | Austin, Texas
- Flexible Schedule | Sports Performance Environment | One-on-One Care | Local Athletic Community
The Lab Sports Therapy & Performance is looking for a Physical Therapist to join its growing team and help expand physical therapy services within its established Austin sports-performance facility.
This is a unique opportunity for a PT who is passionate about sports medicine, orthopedics, strength, and return-to-sport to work directly within a performance-focused environment alongside trainers, athletes, and active adults.
The Lab has strong connections throughout the local athletic community, including relationships with area football and sports programs, creating an exciting opportunity for the right PT to become involved with athletes, coaches, trainers, and families throughout Austin.
What You’ll Do
- Evaluate and treat athletes and active adults with orthopedic and sports-related injuries
- Develop individualized rehabilitation, strength, and return-to-sport programs.
- Provide high-quality, one-on-one physical therapy within The Lab’s sports-performance environment
Collaborate with The Lab’s trainers and performance professionals to bridge the gap between rehabilitation and athletic performance
Build relationships with local coaches, trainers, football and athletic programs, physicians, and other referral partners
- Help grow The Lab’s physical therapy program and presence within the Austin athletic community
- Perform evaluations, re-evaluations, and clinical documentation in accordance with Texas PT requirements
- Potentially supervise and collaborate with PTAs as the program grows
Why The Lab?
Sports-Focused Environment
Work in a facility designed around movement, strength, athletic development, and performance—not a traditional PT clinic.
Connected to Austin Athletics
The Lab has established relationships throughout the local sports community. You’ll have opportunities to become involved with area athletic and football programs and build relationships with athletes, coaches, trainers, and families.
Bridge Rehab & Performance
Work alongside performance professionals to help athletes transition from injury rehabilitation back into strength, training, and competition.
One-on-One Patient Care
Focus on individualized treatment and meaningful outcomes rather than a high-volume traditional clinic model.
Opportunity to Build Something
Play an integral role in developing and growing The Lab’s physical therapy program and shaping what it becomes.
Full Practice Support
Through The Lab’s partnership with Prava Therapy, you’ll have support with insurance credentialing, billing, EMR/documentation, marketing, referral development, and other administrative functions—allowing you to focus on patient care and program growth.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a PT who is passionate about sports and wants to become an active part of the Austin athletic community. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with athletes, enjoys collaborating with strength and performance professionals, and is excited about helping build and grow a sports-focused physical therapy program.
