The Peer Support Specialist provides recovery-oriented support by using lived experience to offer encouragement, advocacy, and mentoring to members. They also assist members in navigating community systems and building self-directed recovery goals while maintaining accurate documentation.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and personal lived experience with mental health or substance use recovery. A valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a Certified Intentional Peer Support Specialist (CIPSS) certification are also required.
