Job Description
This is a contract, on-site position offering an excellent opportunity for an Associate-level provider to deliver high-quality urgent and emergency care in a dynamic clinical environment.
In this role, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients presenting with a wide range of acute medical conditions in the emergency department. You will collaborate closely with physicians, nursing staff, and allied health professionals to ensure timely, evidence-based, and patient-centered care that aligns with the practice's commitment to clinical excellence.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients of all ages
- Perform patient assessments, histories, and physical examinations
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including labs and imaging
- Diagnose and treat acute illnesses and injuries in the emergency department
- Prescribe and manage medications and treatment plans
- Perform emergency procedures within scope of practice
- Collaborate with supervising physicians and multidisciplinary teams
- Document patient encounters accurately in electronic medical records
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families
- Adhere to clinical protocols, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines
- Participate in patient handoffs and continuity of care coordination
- Maintain current licensure, certifications, and continuing education
Requirements
- Associate-level experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Current NP or PA licensure in good standing
- Board certification as an NP or PA
- Experience or training in Emergency Medicine
- Active DEA registration and prescribing authority
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, on-site clinical environment
- Commitment to patient safety and quality care
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends
- Proficiency with electronic medical records systems
Schedule: 11a-11p, 3- to 5-day stretches
Annual Volume: 15K patients
Support Staff: Physician
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
