Job Description

We've made a lot of progress since opening the doors in 1942, but one thing has never changed - our commitment to serve, heal, lead, educate, and innovate. We believe that every award earned, every record broken and every patient helped is because of the dedicated employees who fill our hallways.

At Ochsner, whether you work with patients every day or support those who do, you are making a difference and that matters. Come make a difference at Ochsner Health and discover your future today!

OCHSNER CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL is seeking a PRN fellowship-trained DEVELOPMENTAL-BEHAVIORAL PEDIATRICIAN to practice at the Ochsner Medical Complex – The Grove in Baton Rouge, LA.

In addition to robust clinical skills across the spectrum of developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, learning and intellectual disabilities, and cerebral palsy, the ideal candidate will be able to work in a collaborative manner with other health professionals and assist with program development. Salary offered will be competitive and commensurate with experience and training.

Responsibilities

The Michael R. Boh Centers for Child Development in New Orleans, Covington, Baton Rouge, and Lafayette provide independent and interdisciplinary team-based diagnostic developmental-behavioral consultations for infants, children, and adolescents spanning the full spectrum of neurodevelopmental disabilities – from developmental delays/intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and cerebral palsy to learning disorders, ADHD, and motor incoordination – including consultations for those at risk due to prematurity or other neonatal complications, congenital heart disease, genetic syndromes, or adverse psychosocial circumstances.

Work with the entire Boh Center team (nurses, nurse practitioners, social workers, developmental-behavioral pediatricians, psychologists, applied behavior analysts, speech/language pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, clinic administrators) to improve access to diagnostic consultation and address gaps in treatment.

Participate in the education of Xavier-Ochsner College of Medicine and the University of Queensland-Ochsner Clinical School medical students, Ochsner pediatric residents, and community pediatric professionals.

Participate in the development of a fellowship program in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics
