Pediatric Occupational Therapist (OT)

Full-Time & PRN Opportunities | Charleston, SC Area | Pediatric Therapy

Looking for a pediatric OT position where you can build meaningful relationships with families, grow your clinical skills, and have a multidisciplinary team behind you?

Tri-County Therapy (TCT) is a therapist-owned pediatric therapy practice serving children from birth through age 18 across South Carolina. Our Occupational, Speech, and Physical Therapy teams work collaboratively to help children build the skills they need to participate more fully and independently in everyday life.

We are growing throughout the Charleston area and have multiple opportunities for Pediatric Occupational Therapists—from full-time clinic positions to mixed clinic/community roles and flexible afternoon PRN opportunities.

  • Current OT Openings
  • Summerville / North Charleston + Ladson Clinic – Full-Time OT
  • A mixed position providing pediatric OT services in the Summerville/North Charleston community along with clinic-based treatment at our Ladson office.
  • West Ashley / Charleston – Full-Time Clinic OT (December, 2026)
  • Join our West Ashley team with a consistent pediatric caseload in our Charleston-area clinic.
  • Ladson – PRN Clinic OT | Afternoons Only
  • A great option for an OT looking to add flexible afternoon pediatric clinic hours.
  • Mount Pleasant – Full-Time Mixed Clinic + Community OT
  • Enjoy variety throughout your week with a combination of treatment in our Mount Pleasant clinic and community settings, including homes, preschools, and early intervention.
  • Mount Pleasant – PRN Clinic OT | Afternoons Only
  • Provide pediatric OT services in our Mount Pleasant clinic on a flexible PRN afternoon schedule.

What You'll Do

As a Pediatric Occupational Therapist at TCT, you'll evaluate and treat children with a wide variety of developmental needs while partnering closely with their families and other members of their care team.

You'll Have Opportunities To

  • Evaluate pediatric patients and develop individualized plans of care
  • Treat areas including fine motor development, visual-motor and visual-perceptual skills, sensory processing and regulation, feeding, self-care and activities of daily living, executive functioning, and other functional skills
  • Develop individualized treatment activities and home programs to promote carryover outside of therapy
  • Educate and collaborate with parents and caregivers regarding treatment strategies and progress

Identify potential needs for adaptive or sensory equipment and assist families with obtaining medically necessary equipment when appropriate

Complete evaluations, daily documentation, progress reports, plans of care, and discharge documentation in a timely manner

  • Collaborate with SLPs, PTs, educators, physicians, and other professionals involved in the child's care
  • Build your skills in the areas of pediatric OT that interest you most

What We're Looking For

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Current South Carolina Occupational Therapy license or eligibility for licensure
  • Pediatric experience through employment or clinical rotation
  • Knowledge of child development and developmental milestones from birth through adolescence
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
  • A family-centered approach to pediatric care
  • Experience with sensory processing and/or pediatric feeding is a plus, but not required

  • Full-Time W-2 Positions
  • Base compensation includes both direct therapy and administrative responsibilities such as documentation and caregiver communication
